CHICO (Sept. 30, 2016) — Through eight games in CSUSB's 2016 season, the Coyotes have established a pattern that needs to change once the calendar moves to October.
 
CSUSB is 5-0 when it scores a goal, and after Friday night's 2-0 loss to Chico State, the Coyotes are 0-3-1 when they do not.
 
The Wildcats scored goals in each half and out-shot the Coyotes 13-9 on the night.
 
Eric Lavery, Ivan Quintero and Isaias Castellanos accounted for CSUSB's three shots on goal. Freshman GK Jacob Huber had four saves.
 
The Coyotes return to Coyote Premier Field on Friday when they take on Cal State East Bay.
 
Chico State improved to 2-4-3, 1-2-2.
