LOS ANGELES (Sept. 24, 2016) — Lauren Nicholson led No. 13 CSUSB with 13 kills, but the Coyotes were dealt a 3-1 loss to Cal State L.A. in CCAA volleyball Saturday night.
 
The loss snapped the Coyotes' five-match winning streak as they will take an 8-3 overall record and 2-1 CCAA slate into next week's matches at Stanislaus State and Chico State.
 
The Golden Eagles earned the 18-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-18 victory on the heels of a .273 attack percentage night. CSUSB did not help itself with only 36 kills and 16 attack errors.
 
Setter Jayann DeHoog set up the offensive attack with 28 assists. DeHoog and Abbey Vollkommer each had two aces and Vollkommer led with 13 digs. DeHoog had 12.
 
CSULA improved to 7-5, 3-1.
