SAN BERNARDINO (Sept. 23, 2016) — The Coyotes stretched their unbeaten streak to five games in Friday's 0-0 2OT tie against visiting Cal State Monterey Bay in CCAA men's soccer at Coyote Premier Field.
Senior
Diego Casillas led CSUSB (4-1-1 overall, 2-0-1 CCAA) with five shots and three shots on goal, but his best effort came late in the second overtime. He had the ball inside and ripped a shot that drilled the right post in the 105
th minute.
He added another SOG in the second OT, but Otters GK Andrew Garcia wrapped it up for the save.
Humberto Salcedo and
Marco Carrillo-Leon had the other shots on goal for the Coyotes.
The game was a physical one with 27 fouls (CSUSB 15) and seven yellow cards and one red was called.
CSUSB returns to Coyote Premier Field on Sunday against San Francisco State.
The Otters are now 2-2-2, 0-1-2.
