Jessica Brown came through with a grand slam and Williams struck out 15 in the win over WOU, and

Coyotes 6, Western Oregon 0
CSUSB clung to a 1-0 lead until gave Williams all the room she needed to close out her one-hit, 15-strikeout masterpiece.
Williams gave the Coyotes a 1-0 lead in the second on a ground-rule double that scored
Kaylee Gemmell. In the sixth, three straight singles by
Jessica Angulo,
Caitlyn Olan and
Amanda Herrera, respectively set the tone. Herrera drove in a run on her single, and two batters later, Brown went deep to center for her slam and a 6-0 lead.
Williams faced 27 batters and recorded three k's in the first, third, and sixth innings. The only hit she allowed was a lead-off single in the third.
Coyotes 11, Dominican 3 5 innings
Ratliff led off the game with a solo shot to center that set-up eight first-inning runs and the Coyotes were on their way to the rout.
Angulo and Gemmell each had doubles in the first, before Ratliff again went deep in the opening inning. She ripped a three-run dinger to left center and CSUSB led 8-0 before the Penguins had a chance to bat.
Gemmell had two doubles, and Ratliff and Herrera each had one.
Amanda Ramirez earned the victory in her five innings. She had two strikeouts.
Herrera was the only Coyote who earned all-tourney honors.
