Box Score SAN BERNARDINO (March 13, 2016) -- For the second straight game, CSUSB willed its way to victory.

The Coyotes overcame a seven-run deficit with a never-say-die attitude in their 11-10 victory over Chico State in the third and final game of their weekend series Sunday at Fiscalini Field.

CSUSB, now 12-14 overall and 7-7 CCAA, remains at home this weekend with a three-game series with Stanislaus State that begins Saturday afternoon.

Grant Buchanan came through with the game-winning, walk-off run on his hard-hit single to right that scored Andrew Lopez from third with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.

Coach Dave Martinez's squad orchestrated its rally after trailing 10-3 entering the Coyotes' half of the seventh. William Ouellette's sacrifice fly to right brought in Ryan Rich, who singled to short with one out.

In the eighth, CSUSB batted around and scored five runs to get within two runs of the lead.

Damion Edmonds led off with a single to left, and Lopez followed with a single through the left side. That brought up Brian Lockey, whose RBI single to left cut the Chico State lead to 10-5.

Ryan Cooper, who was playing in his first game, singled to center to score Lopez, and two batters later, Buchanan hit a sac fly to center that brought in Lockey.

Ouellette added another run on an error by the second baseman that scored Cooper that made the score 10-7, Chico State. With Dylan Lohman at the plate, and the Coyotes in a first-and-third situation, Ouellette broke for second. The throw from Wildcats catcher Dillon Kelley was wide, and that allowed Ryan Rich to score on the double steal and CSUSB trailed 10-8.

Ouellette came on to pitch the ninth and he retired the Wildcats in order that set-up the heroics in the ninth.

Edmonds led off with a single to right, and stole second. A bunt from Lopez put runners at the corners, and Lockey followed with a single to left that scored Edmonds.

Two outs later, Rich reached on a walk, and Buchanan came up with the bases loaded.

He connected on the first pitch from Torgen Soderlund to right center that brought in Lopez and the Coyotes had their second win in the bottom of the ninth in as many games.

Buchanan finished 3-for-5 with two RBI. Ouellette, Lohman and Lockey all had two RBI.

Earning multiple-hit games were Lohman, Edmonds, Lopez, Lockey, Daniel Romo and Rich. CSUSB totaled 16 hits with 11 in the final three innings.

Chico State fell to 14-6, 4-4. Ben Gamba homered for the Wildcats.

Ouellette, who moved from shortstop to the mound in the ninth, earned the victory in his one inning.
