OGDEN, Utah (Nov. 11, 2016) — CSUSB challenged Division I Weber State from the get-go in its 75-69 loss in exhibition women's basketball Friday night.
Mya Johnson led the Coyotes with 15 points, and
Casie Johnson followed with 14.
Sabrea Coleman was the only other Coyotes in double figures with 12.
The Coyotes led 19-10 after one quarter and took a 36-35 lead at the break.
But the host Wildcats shot 50 percent from the field in the second half and outscored the Coyotes 15-9 from the line for the seven-point win.
Nine Coyotes were in the scoring column –
Ashley Carson with nine,
Lindsay Kilgore six,
Natalie Avadis and
Genaya Wilkinson with four each,
Taylor Goldsberry with three and
Jasmine Sauser with two.
The Coyotes open the 2016-17 season Tuesday night against visiting Concordia-Irvine.
