SAN BERNARDINO (Nov. 11, 2016) — A key piece momentum gave the No. 14 Coyotes their edge in Friday night's 3-0 win over visiting Sonoma State at Coussoulis Arena.

Hailey Jackson had seven kills with one solo block and five assists in the 25-20, 25-23, 25-19 victory.
The Coyotes never trailed in the opener, thanks to two service aces from senior libero
Abbey Vollkommer that started the match. In the second set, kills from Nicholson and O'Brien pushed the Coyotes ahead 23-21 and they won the second, thanks to a kill from O'Brien and Jackson's solo block.
CSUSB trailed 12-8 and 14-11 before working its way back into the lead.

Jayann DeHoog pulled the Coyotes to within one, 14-13. Nicholson added a kill and tied the set.
One more tie (15-15) occurred before Nicholson came through with consecutive kills and the Coyotes led for good, 17-15.
CSUSB hit .231 on the night (41 kills, 14 errors, 117 attacks) and broke SSU with 12 block assists.
Vollkommer led CSUSB in service aces (four) and in digs (14). DeHoog set up her offense with 35 assists and added 10 digs. Nicholson had 12 digs.
CSUSB (20-4, 14-2 CCAA) stretched its winning streak to a season-best 11 straight and reached the 20-win mark for the 20th straight season. The Coyotes close the regular season against San Francisco State on Saturday with Senior Night. They will honor O'Brien and Vollkommer in a prematch ceremony.
SSU (14-10, 12-5) was led by Caiti Wiesner's 13 kills.
