SAN BERNARDINO (Nov. 12, 2016) — No. 14 CSUSB enters the postseason on the strength of a 12-match winning streak after closing the regular season Saturday night with a 3-0 win over San Francisco State at Coussoulis Arena.
All-American
Malika O'Brien led CSUSB with 15 kills and
Lauren Nicholson followed with 10 in the 25-21, 25-11, 25-18 victory. CSUSB takes a 21-4 overall mark into this week's CCAA Tournament and takes on North fourth seed Cal State East Bay at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Coussoulis.
The Coyotes hit .437 (56-11-103) against the Gators, who closed the season 1-25, 0-18.
O'Brien had five digs, while Nicholson added one ace, and a team-high 11 digs. Setter
Jayann DeHoog led CSUSB with three service aces and 45 assists. Freshman
Kaili Scott had nine kills and sophomore
Hailey Jackson had seven digs with three digs and a team-high three block assists.

Amanda Reifer had five kills.
SFSU was led by Christine Johnson's 10 kills.
The Coyotes honored their seniors — O'Brien and
Abbey Vollkommer — in a prematch ceremony.
