SAN BERNARDINO (Oct. 29, 2016) — Senior
Diego Casillas entered Saturday's game against Cal State San Marcos with four of his six goals in 2016 coming via the penalty kick.
He now has an even five and it led the Coyotes to a CCAA Tournament berth.
The Delano product drew a foul inside in the 84
th minute of play and his convert gave CSUSB a 2-1 victory over Cal State San Marcos on Senior Day.
CSUSB (9-5-1, 7-4-1 CCAA) secured the tourney berth and takes its fifth seed to Chico State on Tuesday night where the Coyotes face the Wildcats with a 6 p.m. kickoff.
Trailing 1-0 at halftime, CSUSB did not waste any time getting even.
Kieron Coleman scored his first goal of the season in the 47
th minute, thanks to a feed from
Ivan Quintero. The pass was made to inside center and Coleman rocked the ball into the center of the goal.
The score remained 1-1 until CSUSB knocked down its PK opportunity. Knowing the Coyote needed to win after Cal State Dominguez Hills earlier defeated Humboldt State, Casillas drew a foul inside and knocked down the shot.

Jacob Huber needed just one save for the victory.
