Box Score SEASIDE (Feb. 21, 2015) -- From beginning to end it was all Coyotes, who routed Cal State Monterey Bay 81-56 in CCAA women's basketball Saturday night.
Senior Alexcia Mack led four Coyotes (18-6, 14-6 CCAA) in double figures with a game-high 21 points. She was 8 of 12 from the floor, 5 of 6 on 3-pointers and dished out six assists. Chelsea Barnes was next with 15, junior Brianna Harden posted her 13th double-double of the year with 14 points and 12 rebounds and Adriana Brodie had 11.
The Coyotes shot their second-best field goal effort of the year (50.9 percent) with 29 of 57 field goals. They grabbed control of the game in the first half with a sizzling 18 of 27 from the floor for a 46-27 lead at the break.
Mack's 3-pointer with 10:40 to go in the first half gave the Coyotes a double-digit lead for good at 26-16. They remained comfortably ahead and led by as many as 26 with 1:49 to go.
Leelee Owens and Chelsea Austin each had eight points. Austin had a nice floor game with five assists and eight boards.
Defensively, CSUSB allowed only 10 points in the paint from CSUMB (7-18, 5-15) and converted 15 CSUMB turnovers into 22 points.
Jenna Bandy led the Otters with 19 points. They shot just 35.8 percent for the game.
