HAYWARD (Feb. 20, 2015) -- CSUSB nearly overcame a 10-point deficit in the second half, but fell 74-66 in overtime to host Cal State East Bay in CCAA women's basketball Friday night.

The loss puts the Coyotes at 17-6 overall and 13-6 in the CCAA as they play at Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday.

The Coyotes trailed 35-25 in the early going of the second half, and cut the deficit to one, 46-45, in seven minutes on a 3-pointer by Alexcia Mack, her 10th point in that stretch.

Then with 56 seconds to go, Chelsea Barnes gave the Coyotes a 62-60 lead on the second of two free throws.

CSUEB's Stephanie Lopez tied the game with a pair of free throws with 33 seconds to go and that score remained at the buzzer.

CSUEB outscored the Coyotes 12-4 in the extra five minutes to seal the Coyotes' fate.

Mack led the Coyotes with 24 points. Brianna Harden had 12 and Adriana Brodie 11 for CSUSB, which shot just 39.3 percent on night.

Lopez scored a game-high 29 for the Pioneers (16-9, 11-8).
