TURLOCK (Jan. 9, 2015) -- Junior Chelsea Austin provided a necessary spark for the Coyotes, scoring 19 points off the bench with nine rebounds and three blocks in CSUSB's 67-52 win over host Cal State Stanislaus on Friday night in CCAA women's basketball.

The victory was CSUSB's first over the Warriors since the 2012-13 season and makes its record 8-3 overall and 4-3 in the CCAA heading into Saturday's contest at Chico State.

Austin gave the Coyotes 29 minutes of play off the bench for her best offensive output this season. Five of her six field goals were 3-pointers.

Junior Brianna Harden produced her eighth double-double this year with 13 points and team season-best 18 rebounds. Fellow junior Alexcia Mack reached double figures with 13 and now needs 10 more points to reach 700 in her career.

The Coyotes did a nice job of controlling the tempo in the early going by gaining the lead for good (16-14) on an Austin 3-pointer with 10:47 remaining in the half. CSUSB held the Warriors to one point over the final five minutes of the half for a 34-25 advantage into halftime.

CSUSB led the entire second half and went up by 18, thanks to a 17-6 run. Leading 46-39 with 13:51 left in the game, Austin drained two 3-pointers in a nine-minute span and three straight free throws by Mack put the Coyotes on top 63-45 with 3:09 left.

Thirteen of Harden's rebounds were on the defensive end for the Coyotes, who held the Warriors to 33.9 percent from the floor.

Chelsea Barnes and Adriana Brodie each had eight points and Briana Baker had six points with two steals.

Briana Cotton scored a game-high 21 points for the Warriors, now 3-8, 1-6.
