Why should your students (or children) attend CSUSB?"When I went there, I didn't know a whole lot about the campus. I was there for soccer. When I got into it, I was surprised how great the faculty was. The thing that drew me in was the small class sizes (most were at 30 at the most). Other places, not so much. We knew our professors and they knew us. That was big for me. I could get 1-on-1 help if I needed it. I even got to know some professors through playing tennis with them. It was a great choice and I really enjoyed my time at Cal State.''
How did playing athletics change your life at CSUSB?"Playing soccer and my chosen major absolutely changed my life because I'm still doing both. I'm in my 21
st year teaching PE at the HS level and my 21
st year coaching HS soccer. Not only that, I'm coaching football at the HS level. I'm a kicking coach and have been coaching club soccer for my son's teams for years. Sports are my life. CSUSB helped me go in that direction. I decided to become a teacher and found that PE was my avenue and I'm still doing it. I don't regret it one bit."
