Box Score POMONA -- No. 12 Cal State San Bernardino extended its program best start to eight straight wins in a 1-0 victory over host Cal Poly Pomona in the CCAA opener for both teams at Kellogg Field on Friday night.

Melanie Aguayo was credited with the assist.
The Coyotes (8-0, 1-0 CCAA) had 10 shots and seven SOG on Broncos' GK Ricki Ives, while CPP countered with nine and seven, respectively.

Travis Clarke said his team was outplayed in the first half, but got going in the final 45 minutes.
"We got played off the field in the first half; they put a lot of pressure on us,'' he said. "We responded very well in the second half and grinded out a win.''
CSUSB completes the weekend Sunday at home against Cal State Dominguez Hills.
