Coyotes go 6-0 for the first time in history

Junior Kiersten Miller provided the difference maker in Thursday's game against HIU.
Box Score SAN BERNARDINO (Sept. 18, 2014) -- No. 25 Cal State San Bernardino made history Thursday afternoon and can thank junior Kiersten Miller.

The Cal State Fullerton transfer gave the Coyotes' their only score of the day and it help up in a 1-0 win over visiting Hope International in women's soccer at Coyote Premier Field.

The Victory gives CSUSB its finest start in the history of the program at 6-0 overall heading into Saturday's key West Region game against Cal Baptist.

In the 33rd minute, Taylor Shimatsu-Silva sent a cross from the left side that Miller flicked into the back post for the tally.

"We created a lot of chances today,'' said head coach Travis Clarke as his team out-shot the Royals 22-2. "Lots of people saw playing time today. A hard-fought win and we'll face another very good team in Cal Baptist on Saturday.''

CSUSB had six corners in the first half and ended with seven. CSUSB goalkeepers Emily Whyte and Monique Boe combined faced just one shot.
