Eight from Women's Soccer Named to CCAA All-Conference Teams; Alcaraz Named CCAA Newcomer of the Year

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Eight California State University San Bernardino women's soccer student-athletes were awarded All-Conference recognition by the California Collegiate Athletic Association on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Bella Cervantes (Anaheim, Calif.) was one of two Coyotes named to the All-CCAA First Team. She scored six goals on the season, including a hat trick against Cal Poly Humboldt on October 19 and added three assists. She is the only player to earn her second All-Conference nod, as she was also a First Teamer last season.

Sophomore Sakiah Williams (San Bernardino, Calif.) was also named a First Team All-CCAA selection. Playing in almost every minute for the Coyotes on the back line, she also scored four goals on the season.

Junior Raylene Alcaraz (Riverside, Calif.) was named to the All-CCAA Second Team as well as earning CCAA Newcomer of the Year honors. She scored two goals and added four assists.

Joining Alcaraz on the Second Team was sophomore Jackeline Fuentes (San Bernardino, Calif.). She scored three goals and recorded three assists as well as leading the team in shots on goal (15).

Senior Leslie Aldape (Ontario, Calif.) was one of four Honorable Mention selections for the Coyotes. She had four assists on the season, including one on the game-winning goal on November 2 against Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Captain Mitzali Macias (Eastvale, Calif.) also earned Honorable Mention honors. She was second on the team in minutes played while anchoring the back line and scoring one goal.

Angelyn Pena (Los Angeles, Calif.) scored five goals on the season, notably scoring the game-winning goal against Cal State Dominguez Hills on November 2.

Senior Emilee Perez (Corona, Calif.) rounded out the Honorable Mention selections for CSUSB. She scored five goals on the season, including three in a two-game span that earned her CCAA Offensive Player of the Week honors.

The eight Coyotes were instrumental in the CSUSB women's soccer program returning to the CCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016.
