Temperatures were in the 100s in the second half, but it didn't seem to slow down the Coyotes' cause. The totaled 25 shots on the day – 16 in the second half – and took control with three first-half goals.

Christ got going with his career day in the 11th minute on a feed from Larry Llamas when he punched in a shot from 10 yards out.
