Junior RHP Stephanie Luhman tossed a three-hitter and Alyssa Ramos came through with three RBI in a game shortened due to the 8-run rule.

Tied at 1-1, CSUSB batted around in the fifth inning, scoring five runs on three hits.

The Coyotes scored three runs and had runners at second and third when Ramos came through with a two-run single to right that put the Coyotes up 6-1.

In the fifth, Tanya Chacon punched a two-run single to left center that put the Coyotes ahead 8-1. Two batters later, Ramos singled to right to score Melissa Roberts and the Coyotes had the victory.

Nobbe delivered a one-out, double to left that center that scored Thalia Ortiz, who doubled.

CSUSB added two more in the fifth, thanks to Nobbe's two-run single.

HPU came back with two runs in the fifth, but the Coyotes responded with two of their own in the sixth.

Ramos' RBI-ground out scored Na'Tavia Lee, and Kristin Lopez scored on a wild pitch.

HPU cut the lead to 5-4 and had runners at the corners with two outs. Luhman got the save by facing five batters in the fifth.
