NCAA Regional polls | INDIANAPOLIS – CSUSB makes its first appearance in an NCAA Division II men's soccer regional poll in four seasons, the legislative body announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Coyotes are tied for eighth in the West Region, behind Cal Poly Pomona, Seattle Pacific, Cal State L.A., Azusa Pacific, Northwest Nazarene, UC San Diego and Cal State Dominguez Hills. CSUSB shares the eighth position with Simon Fraser.
The NCAA conducts two more regular-season regional polls and announces its 48-team tournament field on Monday, Nov. 10. The CCAA Tournament champion along with the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) and Pac West Conference champions receive automatic berths and three at-large teams will be selected.
First-year coach
Steve Ralos has his team 8-4-0 overall and has guaranteed CSUSB a winning regular season for only the fifth time in the last 21 seasons.
CSUSB (8-4-0 overall, 4-4-0 CCAA) is at home this week, taking on Cal State Monterey Bay (Thursday) and San Francisco State (Sunday). The Coyotes will honor their five seniors —
