SAN FRANCISCO -- Seniors Trinidee Trice and Tayllor Gipson combined for 21 points, but an off shooting night hurt the Coyotes' cause in a 59-48 loss to San Francisco State in CCAA basketball Friday night.

The loss snapped the Coyotes' two-game losing streak as they will take a 3-9 overall record and 2-7 CCAA slate into Saturday night's game at Sonoma State.

The Coyotes led for just 18 seconds against the Gators, who improved to 9-6, 5-4.CSUSB's Jazzmyn Davis gave the Coyotes their only lead of the game on a layup with 17:40 to go in the first half.

SFSU responded with a 28-6 run over a 10-minute stretch and led 32-17 on Leticia Galarza's layup with 2:23 left in the half.

The Coyotes got as close as seven in the second half, but could not make the game within a two-possession game in the final 20 minutes.

Trice led the Coyotes with 11 points and Gipson had 10. CSUSB shot just 25.7 percent on the night (18-for-70). Adriana Brodie had 12 rebounds.

Lauren Varney led the Gators with 16 points. Reserve Brianna Harden had 19 rebounds.
