Coyotes' season ends at the hands of UC San Diego

Brodie caps freshman season with team-high 14

LA JOLLA -- Freshman Adriana Brodie scored a team-high 14 points and junior Trinidee Trice added 12, but it wasn't enough as the Coyotes were dealt a season-ending 55-46 loss to UC San Diego in the CCAA Tournament on Tuesday night.

The Coyotes ended their season 13-14, while UC San Diego is 20-10 and advances to the CCAA semifinals Friday afternoon at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

CSUSB trailed 30-26 with 15:13 to go on Trice's jumper.

But that's when UCSD hit its stride. The Tritons outscored the Coyotes 17-4 over the next eight-plus minutes and led 47-30 on Daisy Feder's three-point play with 6:25 left.

CSUSB shot 29.7 percent from the floor on 19-of-64 shooting.

Feder led the Tritons with a game-high 19 points and 16 rebounds.

Senior Eliza Dy scored 10 points, but was 4-of-23 from the floor.
