SAN BERNARDINO – A poor shooting night almost did not matter for the Coyotes in Saturday's game against visiting Cal State East Bay.
The Coyotes, who shot 25.5 percent from the floor, were edged down the stretch in a 42-39 loss to the Pioneers in CCAA women's basketball.

Mack made both free throws to cut the Pioneers' lead to one (38-37), but Finlay also converted both free throws to give her team the three-point cushion.
Trinidee Trice had seven points off the bench and Mack and senior
Eliza Dy each had six.
Tori Breshers scored a game-high 11 points with six rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench.
The Pioneers (15-9, 13-7) won for the first time in nine games in San Bernardino.
