Freshman Adriana Brodie enjoyed her first double-double of her career.
Box Score
TURLOCK -- The Coyotes took advantage of their free throw opportunities and that make the difference in Saturday's 61-52 win over Cal State Stanislaus in CCAA women's basketball.

CSUSB, now 10-12 overall and 8-10 CCAA, outscored the Warriors 23-4 at the line and led the entire second half.

Senior Eliza Dy led the Coyotes with 20 points in 40 minutes of work, while freshman Adriana Brodie recorded her first double-double this season with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Teammate Jaslyn Cosey added 15 as the Coyotes took control late in the first half.

Down 29-26 with 3:59 left, Dy's 3-pointer tied the game and that kick-started a 7-0 Coyotes' run to end the half.

CSUSB built the lead to 10 at the 15:16 mark on two free throws from Cosey and the Coyotes never let the lead dip below six the rest of the way.

Cosey was 11-of-12 from the line -- season highs in both categories for CSUSB.

Brodie's 13 boards also established a team best.

CSUSB returns to Coussoulis Arena on Friday night when the Coyotes take on Cal State Monterey Bay.
