Jasmine Williams converted off a free kick in overtime and gave the Coyotes a 2-1 win over host Chico State in CCAA women's soccer Friday.
The victory puts the Coyotes at 7-2-1 overall and they remain on top of the CCAA South at 5-1-1.
The start over their first 10 games is CSUSB's best since it opened the 2000 season 8-2.
Down 1-0 at halftime, the Coyotes tied the game in the 53
rd minute, thanks to freshman
Kiana Quarles. The San Diego native scored her fourth goal of the season on a one-time top shelf shot past Brianna Furner on a feed from Williams.
The game remained tied, until 91 seconds remained in the opening OT.
Paige Kang and Quarles earned assists.
The teams each had eight shots, while CSUSB had five SOG to Chico State's four.
Chelsey Jones upped her record to 7-2-1 with three saves.
The Coyotes remain in Northern California and play at Cal State Monterey Bay on Sunday.
The Wildcats dropped to 4-4-1, 2-4-1.
