ST. GEORGE, Utah
-- Extended play summed up the Coyotes' trip to southern Utah this past weekend as they earned a 0-0 2 overtime draw against Northwest Nazarene on Labor Day morning.

CSUSB, now 0-0-2, begins California Collegiate Athletic Association play Friday when it takes on Cal Poly Pomona at 3:00 p.m.

Freshman GK Jeff Salt stepped into the starting role as All-American Tanner Olinger sat out the contest due to a red card Friday night against Colorado Mesa. Salt stood big-time against the Crusaders with six saves, including three in the
final 10-minute overtime.

The Coyotes out-shot NNU 16-12 and on SOG, 8-6, but couldn't find an answer against GK Alfredo Ontiveros.

CSUSB had the advantage in corners (5-4).

Leo Mendoza offered three shots, while Marco Martinez and Daniel Lopez each had two SOG.
