SEASIDE -- The Coyotes scored runs in every inning but the sixth and went on to defeat Cal State Monterey Bay 11-4 in the second game of a CCAA doubleheader Saturday.
Earlier, the Coyotes fell 2-0 in the opener.
CSUSB (6-6 overall and 3-4 in the CCAA) will try to even the series in Sunday's nine-inning game finale. First pitch is 11 a.m.

Eric Dow had a two-run home run in the fifth.
The Coyotes took control with three runs on no hits in the first. They eventually led 10-0 entering the bottom of the sixth before the Otters scored their first run. They later added three in the seventh, but it was too late.
Senior LHP
Josh Lee threw 6 innings and struck out three with one walk. She scattered five hits and allowed only one run.
Alex Gutierrez added a double and Dworak had two RBI.

In the opener, reigning CCAA Pitcher of the Week Aaron Appino kept the Coyotes' bats off balance in 7 2/3 innings. He gave up six hits and struck out four.
LHP
Cory Caruso threw well, but did not get any run support. He struck out three and gave up seven hits.
