As a Junior (2011):  Appeared in 14 games with three starts for the Coyotes... Had eight at-bats but did not have a hit... Had a pair of walks and reached base twice on a hit by pitch... Scored four runs.

At West Hills JC: Named 2nd-team all-conference both seasons... Hit .300 as a freshman and .365 with 60 RBI as a sophomore... Team's Hustle Award as a freshman and Best Offensive Player as a sophomore.

At Firebaugh HS: Three-time team MVP... As a senior, named 1st-team all-league and all-county as he hit .521 ... Earned 1st-team all-league honors and all-county in football.. Named league's MVP in basketball and named all county... As  a junior, hit .475 and named 1st-team all-league... Named first-team all-league in football... As a sophomore, hit .415 and earned first-team all-league honors.

Personal: Son of Guillermo and Claudia Gutierrez... Criminal justice major... Would like to become a member of the Drug Enforcement Agency or play professional baseball... Enjoys video games and working out.
