Box Score Box Score: Azusa Pacific 69, Coyotes 55

LA JOLLA -- Alexcia Mack and Trinidee Trice combined for 29 points, but the Coyotes were stopped by Azusa Pacific 69-55 on Saturday in the UC San Diego Tritons women's basketball tournament.

The Coyotes, now 1-2 overall, begin CCAA play Friday night at home when they play Cal State Dominguez Hills. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m.

CSUSB and APU were tied at 30-30 at halftime.

After the Coyotes' Jaslyn Cosey tied the game at 34-34 with 17:10 remaining, APU's Kelly Hardeman hit a three-pointer and that triggered a 21-6 run over the next seven minutes.

Mack led the Coyotes with 15 points and Trice followed with 14. The pair fired a combined 14-for-26 from the field, but CSUSB totaled just 10 of 37 from everyone else.

Cosey had six points and sophomore Alisa Green had eight.

Hardeman led APU with 19 points and Hannah Kenny had 17.
