Katie Gagner found the back of the net in the 62nd minute Friday afternoon as the visiting Coyotes earned a 2-1 road win over Cal State Dominguez Hills in CCAA women's soccer.
CSUSB, now 7-4-2 overall and 5-4-1 CCAA, completes the weekend at Cal State L.A. on Sunday. Kickoff is 2 p.m.
The Coyotes got on the scoreboard first wtih only five seconds remaining in the half.
Priscilla Gomez, on a feed from
Ashley Wolf, delivered after a free kick from 45 yards out and collected the ball low into the net.
CSUDH tied the game at the 48-minute mark on a rebound shot from Katelyn Fregosi.
The score then remained at 1-1 until Gagner came through with her second goal of the season. A long ball down the left allowed
Kelly Keyes and
Guadalupe Lara to earn assists and Gagner came up with the difference maker.
"We missed some very good chances in the first half and allowed them to stay in the game,'' Coyotes coach
Travis Clarke said. "(CSUDH's) effort was great in the second half and they made the win very hard to get.''
Senior
Priscilla Collings earned the start and had eight saves in improving her record to 4-1-1.
"
