CHICO – Senior
Angela Streets earned her second straight double-double and graduate student
Eliza Dy scored a game-high 18 points, but the Coyotes were shut down by host Chico State 53-39 in CCAA women's basketball Friday night.
The loss dropped CSUSB to 3-8 overall and 2-5 in the CCAA, while the Wildcats improved to 7-4, 4-3.
The 39 points were the fewest scored by the Coyotes in five seasons as they shot just 14 of 54 from the field, 25.9 percent.
Streets had 10 points with 11 rebounds and Dy was 8 of 18 from the field, but the rest of the Coyotes combined for a 4-for-21 effort and that wasn't enough as Chico State led throughout.
Synchro Bull led the Wildcats with 13 points. No other Wildcat scored in double figures.
The Coyotes look to bounce back Saturday night against Cal State Stanislaus. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m.
