POMONA
– Senior Angela Streets scored a game-high 25 points in 40 minutes of play, but No. 22 Cal Poly Pomona never trailed in its 59-51 CCAA women's basketball  game Saturday night.

The Coyotes lost their fourth consecutive game and is 5-13 overall and 4-10 in the CCAA. The Broncos improved to 13-5, 9-5.

Streets led three players in double figures as graduate student Eliza Dy and junior Jaslyn Cosey each had 10. The Coyotes shot 37.3 percent from the field on 19-of-51 shooting.

Streets was successful on 7-of-12 field goals, 4-of-8 3-pointers and was the only Coyote to score and attempt free throws on this night, going 7-of-10.

Despite never leading, the Coyotes were within striking distance. A Streets' 3-pointer with 9:15 remaining in the first half cut CPP's lead to 17-15.

But Megan Ford responded with a layup that began a 12-2 CPP run and CPP went on to lead at the break, 34-25.

Five minutes into the second half, the host Broncos grabbed a double-digit lead and led by as many as 15 with 4:50 left.

CSUSB finished the contest with a 9-2 run on Streets' layup and a pair of free throws. Dy added a 3-pointer and freshman Shayna Stuart accounted for the Coyotes' points during that stretch.

CSUSB returns to Coussoulis Arena for the next four games. The Coyotes take on Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday.

Ford led the Broncos with 22 points and 17 rebounds. She was 8-of-9 from the line and finished the season series against CSUSB hitting 20-of-21 free throws.
