Casey Hirsch scored her team-leading third goal of the season, but it wasn't enough as the visiting Coyotes were dealt a 2-1 loss to Cal Poly Pomona in a California Collegiate Athletic Association women's soccer game Friday.
The Coyotes, who dropped to 2-2-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the CCAA, will play at San Francisco State on Sunday.
CPP's Justine Barclay gave her team a 1-0 lead in the 30
th minute and that score held into halftime.
Valerie Strawn pushed CPP out front 2-0 on a header in the 67
th minute. Three minutes later, Hirsch put the Coyotes on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal. She scored with a shot from 15 feet.
The Coyotes had three SOG and out-shot the Broncos 16-12.
