Trailing 3-0 after one inning, the Coyotes methodically got back into the game with single runs in the second, third and fourth before striking with a three-run fifth.

Jamie Roland's sacrifice fly scored Priscilla Curiel, who doubled in the second. Jamie Leffingwell was credited with an RBI when she reached base on an error that scored Britney Butler, who singled in the third.

In the fifth, the Coyotes gained the lead for the first time with three runs on two hits and one error. Roland's two-run double scored Courtney Wilhelms and Curiel. Butler capped the inning by reaching base on an error that scored Pace, who singled.

The Gators tied the game at 6-6 with a three-run and the game then went into extra innings.
Providing the difference maker was Felicia Cervantes, whose ground out to short scored Jacquelyn Holtzclaw, who led off with a single.

Senior LHP Cassidy Lee earned the win in relief. She threw 3 2/3 innings and struck out four, walked one and gave up just one hit.

Pace was 3-for-3 and Curiel was 3-for-4 on the game.

Game 2: Gators 2, Coyotes 1

Pace broke up Marisa Ibarra's perfect game with a solo home run in the fifth, but the Gators earned the game-winner in the seventh.
