CARSON
-- LHP Cassidy Lee improved to 4-0 on the season and she was given big-time help from an assortment of fellow Coyotes as they defeated Cal State Dominguez Hills 13-6 in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader at CSUDH.

Lee threw a complete game and struck out five and scattered seven hits. All six runs were earned.

The Coyotes struck early with a three-run first inning. Three players finished with three RBI games -- Alyssa Flores, Courtney Wilhelms and Jamie Leffingwell as the Coyotes combined for 17 hits.

Flores and Leffingwell had three hits in addition to their RBI. They were joined by fellow three-hit members Alex Mitchell and Jacquelyn Holtzclaw. Jamie Roland had two hits, including a double and Stefanie Pace had a single.

After CSUDH tied the game at 3-3 in the second, the Coyotes answered right back with two runs in the third, three in the fifth, one in the sixth and a four-run seventh.

In the second game, the Coyotes scored three runs in the first inning and that output held up with a 3-2 victory and doubleheader sweep over the Toros.

Mitchell led off with a single and moved to third on Holtzclaw's sacrifice bunt that became an error on the third baseman.

Britney Butler then singled in Mitchell and Flores followed with a double that scored Holtzclaw, but Butler was cut down at the plate. Two batters later, Leffingwell's run-scoring single drove in Flores.

That was all Brianne Godfredson needed on the mound as she threw seven inning and gave up six hits. She struck out two and walked two.

Mitchell was the only Coyote with a multi-hit game -- two singles.
