SAN BERNARDINO -- A battle between two NCAA West Regional ranked teams ended in a 0-0 tie between the host Coyotes and CCAA North-leading Sonoma State.

The Coyotes' 6-game school-record winning streak ended, but its school unbeaten streak extended to seven in the game that ended without a point. CSUSB is now 8-5-2 overall and 6-5-2 in the CCAA, while Sonoma State is 8-5-2, 8-3-2.

Defensively, sophomore GK Chelsey Jones extended her scoreless minutes streak to 420 minutes and 27 seconds for the Coyotes, who are ranked 7th in this week's NCAA Regional poll. This week's CCAA Player of the Week also improved her record to 6-0-1 in front of the net.

Sonoma State, ranked 10th, out-shot the Coyotes 13-11 and each team had four shots in the two, 10-minute OT periods.

Senior Kristina Gomez had four SOG and Jani Carmona and Casey Hirsch each had one.

For the Seawolves, Sara Studer had two SOG.

CSUSB was 0-for-5 on corners and SSU wsa 0-for-4.

The Coyotes return to Coyote Premier Field on Sunday morning when they take on Humboldt State. Kickoff is 11:30 a.m.

The scoreless draw was CSUSB's first since Oct. 30, 2007 against UC San Diego.
