HAYWARD -- Despite
Nicole Moore's 19 kills and All-American
Samantha Middleborn's four solo blocks, the No. 4 CSU San Bernardino Coyotes were upset by No. 25 CSU East Bay, 3-2, in California Collegiate Athletic Association volleyball Saturday night.
The loss was CSUSB's first in CCAA play this season. The Coyotes are now 13-2 overall and 11-1 in the CCAA, while the Pioneers improved to 12-4, 7-4 with the 26-24, 14-25, 25-23, 19-25, 15-13 victory.
The five-game match was CSUSB's first since winning 3-2 against Cal Baptist on Nov. 12, 2009 and the first 5-game CCAA match since UCSD defeated the Coyotes in five on Sept. 26. 2008.

Jane Chafeh had 16 kills, while Middleborn and
Megan Johnson each had 13. Libero
Kelcie Tolan had 20 digs and setter
Camille Smith had a season-high 61 assists.
