Box Score: CSULA def. Coyotes 4-1
LOS ANGELES -- Sophomore
Jani Carmona scored her team-high 13th goal of the season, but it wasn't enough as the host Cal State L.A. Golden Eagles defeated CSU San Berarndino 4-1 in the CCAA women's soccer Friday night.
The Coyotes (9-7-1, 7-7-1) were eliminated from postseason play with the loss and will conclude the 2010 season Sunday at CSU Dominguez Hills.
CSUSB trailed 1-0 after 11 minutes of play, but Carmona tied the game four minutes later. She scored off a free kick from the top of the box and dropped it in past Golden Eagles' GK Gabriella Batmani.
But CSULA (13-3, 12-3) would score three unanswered goals -- two in the second half -- to win.
Tiffany Mallick had three saves, but allowed the four goals.
