LA JOLLA -- A pair of first-half goals from UC San Diego were the difference makers Friday night as the visiting Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes were dealt a 2-0 loss in CCAA women's soccer.
The Coyotes dropped to 5-3-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the CCAA, while the host Tritons are now 5-2-2, 3-2-2.
Jani Carmona's seven capped CSUSB's effort of 15 total shots, but the Coyotes only offered two SOG.
Anne Hethe scored on a header in the third minute of play and teammate Sarah McTigue added the other in the 27th minute.
