Box Score: UC San Diego def. Coyotes 2-0

LA JOLLA -- A pair of first-half goals from UC San Diego were the difference makers Friday night as the visiting Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes were dealt a 2-0 loss in CCAA women's soccer.

The Coyotes dropped to 5-3-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the CCAA, while the host Tritons are now 5-2-2, 3-2-2.

Jani Carmona's seven capped CSUSB's effort of 15 total shots, but the Coyotes only offered two SOG. 

Anne Hethe scored on a header in the third minute of play and teammate Sarah McTigue added the other in the 27th minute.

Unity Beddingfield returned to the pitch for the first time in nearly two weeks after suffering an injury on the Cal State Stanislaus/Chico State trip. She totaled two shots.

CSUSB looks to snap its two-game losing streak with a Sunday game at CSU East Bay.
