CARSON -- Junior forward
Albert Cabrera's goal at 72:56 combined with a stout Cal State San Bernardino defense anchored by goalkeeper
Arath De La Rocha enabled the Coyotes to defeat defending CCAA and NCAA Division II champion Cal State Dominguez Hills, 1-0, Friday at the Toros field.

Jose Godinez was credited with the assist on the match-winning goal.
The Coyotes are now 5-0 and 1-0 in the CCAA, equaling their best start to a season since 2001. The Toros slipped to 0-2-1 on the season and 0-1-1 in the CCAA. CSUSB moves on to face West Region No. 1 Cal State L.A. on Sunday.
DeLaRocha made eight saves in goal for the Coyotes as the Toros attempted 16 shots in the match. CSUSB had seven shohts on goal and Toros keeper Markus Dickerson stopped six of them.
Cabrera apparently is a quick healer. He was limping after the Coyotes' 4-1 win over Concordia Irvine on Tuesday, but nevertheless started for CSUSB in this match.
Godinez slipped Cabrera the ball about 25 yards out and Cabrera chipped the ball over the approaching goalie for the score.
"This is one win to write something about," said Coach Noah Kooiman, noting CSUSB's lack of success against the perennially tough Toros.
Kooiman hit the nail on the had.
The victory was the first over the Toros by the Coyotes since Sept. 15, 1999, a 3-2 victory on the Coyotes' home field. That was followed by 15 winless outings against the two-time NCAA champions before the breakthrough on Friday night.
CSUSB came close in 2008, losing 1-0 and tying the Toros 2-2 before they went on their post-season rampage to the national title.
