LA JOLLA -- Cal State San Bernardino scored two goals in the first 15 minutes of the match and then used a stout defense to shut out UC San Diego, 3-0, Sunday in a CCAA conference men's soccer match before 624 fans at the Tritons field.

Miguel Alatorre provided the scoring for the Coyotes, all in the first half and sophomore
Tyler Kahn went the distance in goal to record a shutout of the Tritons, who were 6-1-1 coming into the match.
The Coyotes, 3-5-1 overall and now 3-2-1 in the CCAA's South Division, return home to face Chaminade of Hawaii at 4 p.m. Monday at Coyote Premier Field. The Tritons fell to 6-2-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the CCAA.
CSUSB had 18 shots to just seven for the Tritons and seven shots were on goal, four of which were saved by Tritons keeper Peter Arman. Kahn was required to save only two shots by UCSD.
Aguirre opened the scoring by taking a pass from Alatorre and sprinting past the last defender for a clear shot to make it 1-0 just 10:28 into the match. Three minutes later, Steele took a pass from sophomore
Obi Agwu and nailed a line drive into the net at the 13:17 mark for a 2-0 lead.
Alatorre finished the scoring in the 36th minute on a penalty kick.
