Cal State San Bernardino's women's volleyball team won its second straight tournament title, knocking off Western Oregon, 3-0, and host Western Washington, 3-2, to remain unbeaten at 8-0 after the first two weeks of the 2007 season.
Junior
Jessica Granados led the Coyotes past Western Oregon (30-24, 30-27, 30-17) with a match-high 24 kills on .413 hitting with three service aces and 11 digs. Sophomore setter
Sara Hoffman had 51 assists while senior
Sharea Drawn had nine kills on .389 hitting and two blocks.
In the tournament finale, the Coyotes rallied from an 0-2 deficit to beat the Vikings 3-2 (27-30, 20-30, 30-20, 30-24 and 15-12) behind Drawn's 26 kills (.455 hitting) with two blocks. Granados had 18 kills, three service aces, 15 digs and three block assists.
Sophomore
Ashtin Hall had 12 kills, 23 digs and a service ace while hitting .333. Freshman
Jane Chafeh had 11 kills and seven digs while junior middle blocker
Sara Rice had 11 kills and four block assists. Junior libero
Meghan Haas had 33 digs.
Drawn, Granados and Haas each made the all-tournament team.
