Cal State San Bernardino's women's soccer team concluded its most successful season since 2003, battling CCAA conference South Division leader UC San Diego to a 0-0 tie in double overtime Tuesday night at the La Jolla campus.
Despite playing their third match in as many days, the Coyotes played the Tritons, ranked No. 17 in the nation and No. 3 in the Far West Region, to a standstill even though they were outshot 21-5 in the 110-minute match.
The Coyotes wind up the season 8-8-4 overall and 4-8-2 in the CCAA while the Tritons advance to the CCAA conference champinship on Friday with a 12-2-2 record, 9-2-2 in the CCAA. UCSD finished on top of the South Division for the eighth straight year.

CSUSB failed to notch a goal for the third straight game but those three matches were against three of the top seven teams in the NCAA's Far West Region. CSUSB lost 1-0 to No. 7 Cal State L.A. and 3-0 to No. 4 Cal State Dominguez Hills.
The four conference wins by CSUSB were the most for this program since 2004 when they won six. Their overall and CCAA record surpassed the win totals for the last two seasons combined and the team is losing only one player to graduation -- midfielder
Jacqueline Reyes.
