BEFORE CAL STATE: Bruins played two years of soccer at Chaffey College where she earned the “Defender” award as a freshman and was the team’s MVP in her sophomore season, earning all-Foothill Conference honors as well. 

HIGH SCHOOL: She played four years of soccer at Rancho Cucamonga High School, graduating in 2005. She was twice the team’s MVP and earned the “Coach’s” Award. She also earned the “rookie of the year” award as freshman. 

PERSONAL: Bruins is a kinesiology major. Away from the field she enjoys working out and being with friends and family. Her parents are Frans and Linda Bruins. She has two siblings. 

FAVORITES: Fast food – Chipotle; Treat – cookies; TV program – King of Queens; Movie – “The Notebook”; Music – Christiano Renaldo; Meal – sushi; Class – anatomy. 

WHY I CHOSE CSUSB – For the kinesiology program and play soccer.
