As a junior in 2012: Appeared in 97 games in 25 matches with 24 starts at outside hitter for the CCAA champions... Surpassed 200 kills for the first time in her career (213), finishing 4th on the team... Third on the team in total attacks (735)... Finished 2nd on the team in service aces (29)... Had nine double-digit kills matches with career-high 19 against Humboldt State (10/27)... Ended the season with consecutive double-digit kill matches in the NCAA West Regional in Laie, Hawaii... Threw down 12 in the 5-set win over Central Washington, 11 against Grand Canyon and 10 in the title match against host BYU-Hawaii... Established career-high 5 service aces in the 3-1 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills (10/19)... Broke through the 250-dig figure (259) and had 11 double-digit efforts with career-high 28 in 3-2 win over Grand Canyon that placed the Coyotes in the regional final for the 13th consecutive season... One of 36 Coyotes named to the 2012-13 CCAA All-Academic team.

As a sophomore in 2011: Appeared in 104 games and earned 32 starts at outside hitter for the NCAA finalists... Finished fourth on the squad in kills (192) and kills/set (1.85)... Third on the team in service aces (26)... Her 13 solo blocks were second on the team behind Player of the Year Samantha Middleborn's 31... Averaged 2.43 points/set, fifth best on the squad... Season-best and career high kills (11) versus Cal Poly Pomona (10/14) and Alaska Anchorage (11/17)... Totaled five blocks (2 solo, 3 assists) against Cal State Stanislaus (10/28)... Season-best three aces against UCSD (11/9)... Set personal best 13 digs in NCAA Championship semifinal match against Hillsdale (12/2).

As a freshman in 2010: Appeared in 16 matches and 28 sets for the 2010 CCAA and NCAA West Region champs… Posted nine kills for the year… Threw down season-best three kills in 12 attacks with two block assists in the four-game win over Western Oregon (9/3/10)… Had three digs in the NCAA West Region finale against Seattle Pacific.

At Redlands East Valley HS: Played two years of varsity volleyball, where she graduated in 2010… Named All-Citrus Belt League second team as a senior… Had 144 kills and posted 63 blocks as a senior… Helped the Wildcats win their second and third straight CIF titles and reach the state finals in each year.

Personal: Daughter of Michael and the late Patti Newcombe… Communications major... Has one sister – Madison… Her uncle (Jerry Newcombe) and cousins Gene Jennings and Samantha Kirtley attended CSUSB… Comes from an athletic family, as cousins Jessica Jennings played basketball at Sonoma State, Morgan Loftis played volleyball at San Diego State and Sonja Newcombe played volleyball at Oregon and later professionally in Puerto Rico and France… Would like to work in an environment where she can help younger kids become successful… Enjoys writing.
