At Taft College: Team's best offensive player as a sophomore.... First-team all conference and second team all region his sophomore season.

At Palmdale HS: Played four seasons and was team captain his senior year (2010)... Team went 43-7-6 in his four seasons with the Falcons.

Personal: Son of Raul Hernandez and Teresa Mariscal... Math major... Loves yogurt and watching Fox Sports... Says a double-double at In-N-Out is the best... Says watching Al Pacino's portrayal of Tony Montana in Scarface is tremendous... Loves his mom's chicken noodle soup.
