    2008: Marquez played in 16 of the team's 20 matches and started seven times. He scored one goal and assisted on two others.
    BEFORE CAL STATE: Marquez played two seasons of soccer at Rio Hondo College where he was an all-conference selection. 
    HIGH SCHOOL: He graduated in 1998 from Perris Satellite High School, where he played four years of soccer, earning all-league honors.
    PERSONAL: Marquez is a kinesiology major who plans to pursue a master's degree then teach and coach at the high school level. Away from soccer he enjoys playing pool, cards and attending family functions. His mother is Margaret Garcia. He has three siblings.
