Tied for team in goals with three -- vs. UC San Diego, Chico State and Cal State Dominguez Hills... Dealt one assist -- vs. Cal State L.A.... Totaled 13 shots with seven SOG.

As a sophomore in 2010: Appeared in all 20 games with 19 starts for the CCAA South champions… Earned second-team All-CCAA honors at defender… Keyed defensive staff that included Brett Faggioni and Lee Nishanian en route in helping GK Tanner Olinger earn nine shutouts… Scored first career goal in 1-0 win over Cal State East Bay (10/22/10)… Totaled eight shots and two SOG.

As a freshman in 2009: Appeared in 18 games with 10 starts… Stepped into starting role at defender when Brett Faggioni was injured… Named CCAA’s Freshman of the Year as Coyotes earned NCAA tourney berth… Posted one assist on the season… Totaled five shots with two SOG.

At Montclair HS: Played four years of soccer, graduated in 2009… Earned All-CIF and All-League honors as well as Scholar-Athlete honors… Named team’s Defensive Player of the Year.

Personal: Son of Roman and Martha Esqueda… Family includes two children… Psychology major… Wants to play professional soccer followed by a career as a psychologist … Enjoys time with friends and listening to music
