BEFORE CAL STATE: Karver played two years of volleyball for San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, helping them win consecutive conference titles and finish the season ranked No. 5 and No. 2 in the state those seasons.. Karver averaged 4.47 kills per game (425) and 3.4 digs per game (339) in 95 games for Delta (25-3) which finished fifth in the state. She also had 69 service aces. Her hitting percentage was among the top five in the state at .447. She had 15 kills and hit .324 in a 3-2 loss to San Diego Mesa in the 2006 state semifinals. She had 17 kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 win over L.A. Pierce and 17 kills and 10 digs in a win over Orange Coast, also at the state tournament. She selected to the all-conference first team and all-Northern California JC team.

HIGH SCHOOL: She is a 2005 graduate of St.Mary’s High School in Stockton where she played four years of volleyball earning first-team all-area three times.

PERSONAL: Karver is a kinesiology major whose career goal is to be an athletic director. She enjoys music, shopping and wakeboarding. Her parents are Marianne and Jack Karver. She has one sibling.

MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT – Finding out we got an open bid to Junior Olympics when I was my club’s 17’s team.

MOST EMBARRASING MOMENT – Losing to a team we had already beaten twice in the state playoffs (San Diego Mesa).

WHY I CHOSE CSUSB – The people and the weather, but mostly the volleyball team.
