At Golden West JC: Played two seasons... Earned first-team all-league honors and was league's offensive MVP as a sophomore.

At Saddleback HS: Lettered a total of nine times in three sports -- soccer (4), cross country (3) and track and field (2)... A three-time MVP for offense in the league... Team MVP his senior season.

Personal: Son of Luis and Maria Laris... Spanish major... Loves Corner Bakery as his favorite fast food outlet... Enjoys watching the novela "Que bonito amor"... Says his favorite musical group is "Los Nuevos Rebeldes" ... Loves his morning cereal.
