As a sophomore in 2011: One of six Coyotes to play in all 18 games... Earned 12 starts... Scored two goals with two assists for six points... Scored Coyotes' only goal in 2-1 loss at San Francisco State... Scored game-winning goal in 2-1 win at Dominican... Dealt asissts vs. Chico State and in the 3-1 home loss at Cal State Dominguez Hills... Totaled 19 shots with 10 SOG.

As a freshman in 2010: Outstanding first year for the Coyotes… Appeared in all 20 games and earned three starts (at Chico State, at Cal Poly Pomona and at CSU Dominguez Hills)… Totaled 17 shots with 10 SOG… Breakout weekend arrived in the home sweep over national powers Cal State Dominguez Hills and then top-ranked Cal State L.A. … Scored two goals in the win over the Toros and came back with one goal against the Golden Eagles… Perfect 3-of-3 SOGs in those games… For his efforts, became CSUSB’s first athlete to earn ESPN Los Angeles.com college player of the week honors (Sept. 27)… Scored Coyotes’ only goal in 3-1 regular-season loss at Sonoma State… Also had two assists on the season including game-winning feed to Jose Godinez in 1-0 home win over UCSD.

At Cajon HS: A three-sport letter winner, graduated in 2009… Lettered in track and field, cross country and two years of soccer at the nearby high school… Served as team captain in soccer as a senior… A two-time team MVP in cross country and MVP his senior season of soccer… Competed on San Andreas League champions in cross country twice and once each in soccer and track and field.

Personal: Son of Jose and Maria Ayala… The youngest of four children… Kinesiology major… Grew up within easy distance of the CSUSB campus… Says In-N-Out is his favorite fast food outlet… His decision to attend CSUSB centered on playing soccer with a great team.
